@Charles Pegge
Which of these Geodesic domes would you like most?
#AI-Domes :-)

My favorite base structure:

Do you make these for Plants or for People?

Here is a large one that you can visit in Germany, it contains a Roller Coaster.

Charles Pegge

Not yet. I built the hex dome for my friends a long time ago.

Here is a POV-Ray visualization: Complexity is effortless on the PC :)

Theo Gottwald

I still have POV Ray installed. To make that Person in POV is not easy.
Unless you can convert some available Geometry.
However the Language of POV-Ray is good to be generated using Generators.
But I think that this sort of Engines will mostly be replaced by AI.
Unless in Architecture.

I used POSER for the figures, and a few other resources. I think I used PowerBasic for the geometry ~2004

Ok, Poser. Yes that could work.
Then also the Horse is from Poser.
As said these days i would recommend you to use
Automatic1111
Which is completely free, uncensored and makes amazing pictures.

3d models would be ideal so that shadows and light can be correctly cast.

Theo Gottwald

In that case i recommend you to use Blender - which is also free.

This one is possibly a bit outdated:

This is the final Built:

So far, nothing beats cardboard and calculator for modelling. But some CAD in O2 would be useful for fine tuning.

Theo Gottwald

At least it will also work without electricity, why may soon be interesting.
:-)
Besides that you can use Blender to make the Models see below as it has "Paper" Option.

My ideas what this is good for boils down to, "if you want to get in contact with Aliens?" :-)
I means why just this Geometry?

Here is a Sample how you can print such a Geodesic House for your cat:

Domes are not ideal for house construction but how about building a house inside a dome. This was built inside the arctic circle. They use the extra dome space to grow fruit and veg, even grapes!

Sustainable Arctic DOME HOME recycles water & grows food!

It may be of advantage against radioactive or volcanic fallout,
and in the dessert or in polar area- in case you have a private AKW to heat it up.

For normal Houses i think the outside dome will destroy the landscape.

Hmm .. Thinking about England and the prediction that it will go sown in the flood, it may even be interesting for Underwater Civilizations
