Did you ever Try APL? (Dyalog APL)

Ok, for the typical PB-Users this would be a step back because APL is very high Level.
Its more for people with Interest in Mathematics.
Formulas and mathematical stuff can be coded most efficiently in APL.

If you know C, Powerbasic, Pascal .... there is not that large Syntax difference .. they all derived somehow from Fortran and QBasic.
Somehow its all the same. Even "Logo" (do you still know it?) was not so much different.

Then there are other concepts like Scheme and LISP, or FORTH which are general different language concepts.

AND finally we have APL. It has own Font where each Character is another mathematical function.

For people who want to quickly code their mathematical ideas, it is at the same time a way to write a Formula, and to code it at the same time.

Dyalog is free for non-commercial use but it is not free software. A non-commercial licence can be used for experiments and proof of concept until the point in time that it is of value. So if you are into Higher Mathematics, give it a try.
