It is with extremely heavy heart that I am reporting that Stuart McLachlan has passed away.

I do not have any specific details (exact date, cause, etc.), as it is hard to get hold of anyone close to him (Papua New Guinea) that can corroborate info for me. However, I was able to at least get this info from the Yacht Club he was a member of.

They had this photo of him and I'd like to share it here.

I was able to connect with his daughter. I will post her message to me....
Hi George, I'm Stuart's daughter. He passed yesterday around 11AM in Port Moresby PNG due to medical issues as he was in hospital for over a month. I'm planning on going to PNG to today to organise ongoing funeral arrangements with my mother. As he was in hospital for over a month we are trying to organise a form of fundraiser to assist with his medical bills. If this is something you're interested in please feel free to let me know and I can send you further details. Other than that I appreciate your kind words about my father.
