What is SindByte? 🧠
SindByte is a portable local MCP runtime for Windows.
It starts a real local MCP endpoint at http://127.0.0.1:5555/mcp, so AI clients can do more than chat — they can interact with your Windows system, files, data, web workflows, images, timers, and more.
It is the next generation of the "Old" MCP-Server 01.

Why this is interesting ⚙️
  • Portable ZIP package — no installer maze
  • Local-first runtime on your own Windows machine
  • One MCP endpoint for multiple AI clients
  • Short / Full registration modes
  • Category filters and ask-first safety controls
  • Large audited tool surface with 239 host-callable tools across 19 MCP families (actual visible tools depend on config, filters, registration mode, and credentials)

What SindByte can do in practice 🧰
  • Files & projects: read, write, move, copy, zip, unzip, search, inspect, and organize files
  • Data workflows: CSV/JSON/text processing, parsing, regex, chunking, sorting, and structured transformations
  • Desktop automation: screenshots, window detection, clicks, key presses, resizing, and GUI interaction
  • System actions: process/service inspection, command execution, PowerShell, registry, and environment helpers
  • Web & research: fetch pages, extract text, search, and feed results into follow-up workflows
  • Memory & clipboard: store/reuse state across steps and move data quickly between apps and AI
  • Reasoning tools: ChainOfThought, TreeOfThought, MultiVote, Debate, SelfCritique, ExpertPanel, Validate, BetterPrompt, and more
  • Timers & recurring jobs: run prompts once, on intervals, daily, or weekly
  • Image workflows: generate images, edit pictures, resize, convert, crop, and create website assets
  • Operator surfaces: Config Editor, Dialog-LAB, LMChat, Timer + IQ, and Trading Hub
  • Office & communication: Office automation plus credential-gated routes such as Gmail, M365, and Teams
  • Trading workflows: paper-first analysis and trading support across 12 trading venues

Special product highlights
  • Dialog-LAB: compare 2–3 models side by side, extract thinking blocks, use voice input/output, and log sessions
  • LMChat: lighter built-in chat with IQ helpers, attachments, transcription, and faster follow-up execution
  • Timer + IQ: scheduled AI reports, recurring monitoring, automated analysis, and repeatable workflows
  • Trading Hub: paper-first workflows, scanner, multi-expert analysis, learning flows, and manual oversight screens
  • OpenAI-compatible endpoint: can also expose [tt]POST /v1/chat/completions[/tt] for OpenAI-compatible clients and apps

What it does with different clients 🔌

1) LM Studio 🖥
Best fit for local private workflows and model experiments.
You get a full local MCP bridge, desktop and file automation, Dialog-LAB companion flows, screenshots, timers, and IQ tools.
This is especially strong when you want local inference + local tool execution on the same PC.

2) Roo Code / Cline / VS Code MCP add-ons 💻
Best fit for coding, repo maintenance, ops, and technical workflows.
SindByte can provide FileTools, DataTools, SystemTools, CUTools, IQTools, image tools, timers, and more.
Very useful for agents that inspect files, patch content, validate results, automate local tasks, and work with safer ask-first settings.

3) Codex-style agent workflows / agent CLIs 🤖
Best fit for structured multi-step automation.
SindByte gives these agents a stable MCP endpoint for tool calling, file actions, system actions, image generation, and repeatable workflows.
A strong match when the agent already manages plans, diffs, verification loops, and step-by-step execution.

4) Custom MCP clients 🧩
Best fit for internal tools, dashboards, orchestration layers, and custom assistants.
SindByte speaks standard MCP JSON-RPC and supports the normal lifecycle via [tt]initialize[/tt], [tt]tools/list[/tt], and [tt]tools/call[/tt].
That makes it a practical local backend for your own MCP-enabled software.

Quick start
  • Download and extract SindByte.zip
  • Start SindByte 01.exe
  • Point your MCP client to [tt]http://127.0.0.1:5555/mcp[/tt]
  • After config changes, reload the client because many hosts cache schemas
  • For a first check, start with [tt]spr_server_assistant[/tt] or [tt]ToolCatalog.ListCategories[/tt]

Client notes 📌
  • LM Studio usually just needs the MCP URL
  • Roo Code / Cline clients should use [tt]type = streamable-http[/tt]
  • If you see fewer tools than expected, check registration mode, category filters, credentials, and host cache

Licensing 📜
SindByte is free for private use.
Corporate users may evaluate it for free, but real professional, team, customer-facing, or commercial use requires the paid Smart Package Robot license path.

In short
SindByte is not just another chat front-end.
It is a local Windows runtime that connects AI clients to real tools, real workflows, and real operator surfaces — from files and desktop automation to reasoning, image work, timers, Office integrations, and trading workflows.

Questions, feedback, and client-specific setup examples are welcome 🙌
