Do you remember ... that time before a new PB version was released?
It had something from christmas when a new PB Version was released.
We read the new features and we could not wait until we had it in hands.
Since then we did not get a successor for PB that can just compile the
PB-Files and can be improved.
We can not get old times back, but we can remember and smile about it.
Bob Zale was very skilled at marketing (splitting into PBwin and PBcc), but the formidable growth of Windows and its thousands of API functions eventually overshadowed any features that new versions of PowerBasic might introduce.
But I get similar pleasure from ordering goods online - waiting an uncertain time for the goods to arrive. It is like waiting for Christmas presents.
