When we look at medieval cities around the world, especially in Europe, we notice that most houses were built along the main street. The most important and expensive properties are also typically located along this thoroughfare. A main street has the advantage of connecting point A to point B, which is why houses are situated along it to facilitate this journey.

Saudi Arabia has attempted to create a main street called "The Line," which is designed to be built only along key properties, directly adjacent to the main road. However, the issue is that this street does not lead from A to B; it leads from A to nowhere. It will be interesting to see how this develops. Personally, I doubt they will complete the entire Line; instead, they might build a section of it and ultimately need to create something that represents point B. This seems to be one of the current weaknesses of The Line: while they have point A and a road, it currently leads to nowhere. At least they have enough funding. Let's wait and see what happens.
