Our dear Mother passed away peacefully at home yesterday morning after a short decline.
She was over 96 years old - It's not so sad, but we will miss caring for her as we did for the last 7 years.
She was just 4 days younger than our late Queen.

My father passed away some years ago, my mother is 85 and according to her age in relative good shape and health. But as you said, we all will have to go that path. I already did it half way and i enjoy still having my mother as long as it will last.

My heartfelt condolences, Charles, to you and your family during this time. The loss of a loved one is never easy, no matter what age. Your mother was lucky that she could be cared for at home and that she could also leave this physical world at home.

And maybe - who knows - there will be a reunion sometime, in whatever way.

Of course there is a Live after death.
For most people the question is rather "Is there a life before death".
May more people get that age as your Mother got.
If there would not be a life after death, finally passing away would be a big deal.
But because there is a life after death - its not a big deal.
Don't worry. She is now watching you from up there and i belife she is proud of you.
